DESCRIPTION
Tungsten Vial Shield for 10ML
Our Tungsten Vial Shields are premium radiation protection containers specially designed for nuclear medicine departments, radiopharmacies, and PET/SPECT imaging laboratories. Engineered for safe storage, handling, and dose preparation of radioactive vials, these shields effectively block gamma ray radiation from common radioisotopes such as Tc-99m, F-18, I-131, and Ga-68. Replacing traditional lead shields, our tungsten alloy vial shields provide superior shielding performance with smaller volume, lighter weight, and eco-friendly properties, greatly reducing occupational radiation exposure for medical staff.
Description
The Tungsten Vial Shield is designed to greatly reduce exposure to vials containing liquid radioisotopes. The shield is constructed of .19" (.48 cm) thick tungsten, equivalent to .38" (1 cm) lead at 150 keV. Vials can be loaded from the top or bottom of the shield. A loss-proof slide injection port on the top allows easy access to the vial septum. The tough tungsten will retain its shape under the roughest handling and is virtually unbreakable. Features Virtually unbreakable Safe handling of radioactive liquids
