DESCRIPTION

The Tungsten Alloy Shielded Transport Container, also named Tungsten Alloy Container For Vial Transport, is a specialized safety protection container professionally developed for the nuclear medicine industry. It is commonly utilized for the safe storage and sealed transportation of highly volatile radioactive materials, and is mainly dedicated to the handling and transfer of radioactive drug vials in various medical and industrial radiation scenarios. In daily hospital nuclear medicine workflows, it is primarily applied to transfer packaged radioactive drug vials from the storage area to the drug filling chamber and clinical injection room, realizing standardized, stable and safe internal logistics of radioactive medicines.

Radiopharmaceuticals refer to a special class of isotopically labeled compounds or biological agents that are applied in the human body for clinical medical diagnosis and targeted treatment. However, these active medicinal products inherently emit high-energy ionizing radiation, which poses significant safety hazards. Radioactive drug vials commonly used in clinical practice contain typical radioactive isotopes such as Iodine-131 and Fluorine-18. These isotopes continuously release penetrating ionizing radiation during their natural decay process, and long-term or excessive exposure to such radiation will cause irreversible damage to human tissues, organs and immune systems, bringing serious occupational health risks to front-line medical and laboratory staff.

Manufactured with premium tungsten alloy, this shielded transport container boasts outstanding comprehensive material properties, including high density, superior mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance, reliable radiation attenuation performance, fine processability, good ductility and long-term service durability. Compared with traditional lead shielding materials that are widely used in radiation protection, tungsten alloy is a greener, more environmentally friendly protective material with a higher radiation shielding grade and efficiency. Its unique high-density physical property enables the material to efficiently absorb gamma rays and block harmful radiation. In addition, tungsten alloy outperforms lead in structural stability and machinability; it features higher structural rigidity, better ductility and easier processing performance, laying a solid foundation for the production of high-precision and high-safety shielding containers.

To adapt to the rigorous safety standards and efficient operation requirements of radiation-related scenarios, this tungsten alloy transport container is equipped with multi-dimensional safety and humanized structural configurations. In addition to the flexible rotatable carrying handle for stable and convenient manual transportation, it is also fitted with fixed buckles and O-ring sealing components. The matching twist-off sealing cover with an inverted cone inlet structure further optimizes the overall sealing performance. The combined structural design achieves tight internal sealing and stable fixation of radioactive vials, effectively preventing radioactive ray leakage and residual medicinal liquid spillage, and greatly improving the safety and stability of the container during use and transportation. Versatile and adaptable, this container is not only applicable to nuclear medicine departments and radiation therapy laboratories in medical institutions, but also meets the professional use demands of industrial inspection and nuclear industry fields, with a wide range of application scenarios.

Advantage of Tungsten Alloy Radiation Shielding

Due to a higher density than most other materials, tungsten radiation shielding has a much higher ability of absorbing and stopping almost rays than others metals such as the traditional radiation shielding - lead. This tungsten shielded container is particularly suitable for radiation shielding due to its high density and ability to absorb radiation.

Tungsten heavy alloy is the right material for radiation protection, as its combination of radiographic density (more than 60% denser than lead), machinability, good corrosion resistance, high radiation absorption (superior to lead and steel), simplified life cycle and high strength. Tungsten radiation shielding can provide the same degree of protection as lead whilst significantly reducing the overall volume and thickness of shields and containers.

Zhuzhou Jiuding Metal Technology Co., Ltd. can provide radiation source containers γ Radiography, X-ray shielding, and tungsten alloy radiation shielding for industrial instruments. In addition to its role as shielding products, tungsten shielding products can also be used as collimators in cancer treatment, tungsten shielding products are also utilized in various medical applications...Tungsten shielding products for medical use is also used as a collimator and radiation shield in cancer treatment, as well as a syringe for radiation injection protection. Customization is supported; please contact us to discuss additional details.
